In a heartwarming event on December 17th, Ed Harrison Mission Nigeria, a non-governmental organization based in Ibadan, Oyo State, commemorated the close of 2023 by honoring children in its annual year-end program.
For the past six years, the organization has consistently championed this initiative, fostering joy among children and parents in the community, especially those benefiting from its array of free social services, including tutorial classes, vocational training, and computer literacy programs.
The event, attended by over 250 kids and parents, radiated joy and excitement throughout. The program featured captivating presentations by students who attend the free tutorial training and the children’s church.
A plethora of activities added vibrancy to the celebration, including a spelling bee competition, lively choreography, cultural dances, engaging color games, and more. Notably, every participating child received thoughtful gifts such as school bags, water bottles, and clothing, adding an extra layer of delight to the occasion.
As a gesture of gratitude to the community, Ed Harrison Mission Nigeria generously provided free clothing for all attendees, extending this privilege to both parents and children, who were encouraged to choose their preferred cloths.
The organization’s commitment to community welfare was further exemplified by the provision of complimentary food and drinks for all attendees.
Reflecting on the event, Mr. Ajibade Damilare, the coordinator of Ed Harrison Mission Nigeria, emphasized the organization’s overarching mission to positively impact lives. He urged parents to enroll their children in the free tutorial classes, underscoring the tangible benefits it brings to the community.
