About us
Ed Harrison Mission Nigeria does not simply believe that a quality education is vital for each child’s development, but we are putting that belief into practice in the city of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.
Over the course of many years, children receiving education in some Nigerian government schools have been at the mercy of disgruntled teachers that haven’t received their salaries for months at a time. Needless to say, unpaid and disgruntled teacher’s end’s with students and their education being caught in the crossfire.
We saw an opportunity to make a difference and sought to provide free supplemental help for students attending such schools boosting their confidence to learn and confidence in themselves.
And guess what? It’s working!!
Now celebrating our 4th year in operation, Ed Harrison Mission Nigeria is more dedicated than ever before to our mission:
- Provide empowerment for children, youth and adults alike.
- Help the community in the areas of education and business development.
- Provide training in business and vocational settings to help each person have a better life.
With our founders, Ed & Lillie Harrison (Texas, USA) holding the reins of the organization; we are striving to produce opportunities for academically gifted students from low income families, to have access to FREE private education through our aggressive aspiration to open our own nursery and primary academy.
Not to worry, we are not leaving the young adults out at all. Our president Ed, has a passion for seeing young adults succeed in the area of enterprise and vocation. Our effort to help equip university graduates with the encouragement and skills.
